LCJ Engineers provided the structural design, documentation and site supervision for rectification works to repair termite and weather damage at the heritage-listed Townsville Station building. An upgrade to roof elements to suit current design standards was also completed. Consideration of heritage aspects of the building was a significant driver of the project. Structural site inspections and associated construction phase services were provided.
The old Townsville Railway Station Roof Renovation was awarded the 2017 Master Builders Award for Refurbishment/Renovation $501,000-$2M.
