This project involved site inspections, concrete core extraction, crack mapping, research on suitable repair products and preparation of a report to compare the observed cracks in the concrete with the applicable Australian Standards. Repair methodologies and suitable products were investigated to provide a recommendation that would suit the durability intent of the structure. The project also required a review of the protective coating defects on Berth 8 fender facing panels. Paint adherence testing, holiday testing and dry film thickness testing was attempted on the fender facings. Due to the environment, not all of the testing was effective. The available test results were compared to Australian Standards within the report.
